This is a traditional 15-inch, round-bottom carbon steel wok, an essential and fundamental tool in Chinese and Asian cooking. Its classic design, featuring a deep bowl and a single long wooden handle, is perfectly suited for the high-heat, rapid-tossing motions of stir-frying ("bao chao"). Carbon steel is the preferred material for woks because it heats up quickly and evenly, is lightweight, and develops a natural non-stick surface (patina) with proper seasoning and use. Beyond stir-frying, its versatile shape also makes it ideal for deep-frying, steaming, and braising.
